Hola and welcome to Southern Sweet and Salty!!
When my mom and I would go shopping, and I really wanted something (but it was more of an impulse buy), she always told me, “Wait a couple of weeks, and if you are still thinking about it, go back and buy it!”
Well, the idea of starting a blog has been in my thoughts for almost a 2 years now…so I think it is time!
I began reading other blogs (mostly healthy living blogs) a few years ago, and have been hooked ever since. The more and more I found myself checking in on my favorite blogs…the more and more I had the urge to start one myself. I have always loved documenting things that have happened, whether it was by picture or writing, so why not put it into blog form to share with others!
And now, more than ever, I feel like is the most perfect time to begin this little endeavor.
Being a newlywed and really starting the next chapter of my life seems like a great starting point. Annnnd, it should be a great way to keep you people informed on what is going on in our life in the Northern land, and everywhere else we are!
So, I’m reeeally doin’ it!
And, while you might read just about anything on Southern Sweet and Salty, I hope that I can consistently share healthy recipes and fitness ideas along the way.
You see, being active all my life and a former college athlete (and now married to a professional athlete) led to my interest in fitness and living an active lifestyle in general. This in turn has sparked my passion for learning more and more about nutrition, and the most natural recipes we can fuel our bodies with. So, I hope I can share as much of that as I can with you!
